The lodge started out as a one-room schoolhouse and transitioned into a bunkhouse for hired ranch hands.
Our lovely and newly-expanded lodge now serves to accommodate outdoor adventure-seekers, Western romanticists, book lovers, wildlife watchers or anyone just looking for a great escape!
Our family-owned and operated vacation home-on-the-range appeals to a wide range of occasions.
You will have plenty of indoor and outdoor living space in which to congregate. Our mini lodge can sleep 10-13 guests and provides several unique gathering places. The lodge is cozy and inviting for several types of uses, such as family and class reunions and small destination weddings.
Arranged in one open space with a cathedral ceiling, these combined areas represent the original one-room school building. Lovingly remodeled with reclaimed wood from the area, this 18x23 foot space will always be affectionately referred to as “the cabin” and the main space for gatherings and sharing meals.
Both downstairs bedrooms feature two twin beds that can convert to a king bed. These rooms share a bathroom across the hall with a tub/shower combination. The two upstairs bedrooms are linked with a Jack & Jill bathroom between them. One bedroom has two rustic bunk bed sets, with a wide and easily accessible staircase to the upper bunks. The other bedroom, with balcony views, offers a full bed and twin daybed which converts to a king. For large parties that want to cozy in camping-style, our sunroom has a full-sized futon couch and a pull-out twin sofa bed, perfect for kids and teens to “camp out” for full-house family fun!
The large open sun deck invites sunbathers, yoga practitioners, bird watchers and star-gazers.
On the Sundeck, diners can savor an outdoor culinary experience under the Big Sky with plenty of views of the resident deer and occasional antelope.
A covered second floor balcony, perfect for coffee drinkers and wine connoisseurs alike, rises above the sunroom beneath it, which hosts massage sessions, classes, meetings and gatherings of friends.
A seemingly hidden delight just behind the sliding barn door of the sunroom: A four-person barrel sauna! Lastly, our western-style front porch invites all weary travelers to relax and unwind in lounge chairs that will be hard to leave.
